Yusuf Eric

Yusuf Eric works with authors of literary fiction and nonfiction, focusing on discovering distinctive literary voices, understanding creative ambitions, and exploring opportunities within the publishing industry.

His approach begins with understanding the story behind each manuscript, the author's intentions, and the qualities that make a project distinctive. He is interested in compelling narratives, original perspectives, thought-provoking ideas, and writing with the potential to connect meaningfully with readers.

In his role as a literary agent, Yusuf engages with authors to learn about their manuscripts, discuss their publishing ambitions, and explore potential opportunities for representation where appropriate. He values clear communication and thoughtful consideration of each project, recognising that every author's journey and creative goals are different.

Alongside his literary work, Yusuf focuses on editorial consultation and manuscript development. He helps authors consider the strengths of their writing, identify areas that may benefit from further development, and understand how their work might be positioned for its intended readership.

His work also involves author outreach, initial manuscript assessment, and exploring potential publishing pathways. He aims to help writers better understand their options and identify practical next steps that align with their individual projects and ambitions.

Yusuf believes that meaningful author relationships begin with listening, honest communication, and a genuine appreciation for the work writers put into their manuscripts. His approach combines an interest in distinctive storytelling with a commitment to helping authors navigate the publishing process with greater clarity and confidence.
